The Morphett Vale CFS response area is located approximately 35 kilometres south of Adelaide, we respond primarily to the suburbs of Morphett Vale, Woodcroft, Reynella, Onkaparinga Hills, Huntfield Heights and Hackham.

These suburbs range in use from well developed housing areas, to large commercial and manufacturing zones as well as large areas of rural land. Within our area we have some high risk premises including the Constellation Wines National Bottling Plant, as well as numerous nursing homes and shopping centres. The Onkaparinga National Park is our largest rural risk and has a combination of open grass and bushland, a fire in this area can move very quickly and has the potential to impact on houses.

The Morphett Vale CFS is also actively involved in Enhanced Mutual Aid (EMA) with the Metropolitan fire service, this means that the closest appliance responds to any incident regardless of which fire service area it is in. This arrangement works very well and ensures a very quick response to incidents.
