|The Morphett Vale CFS station was built in 1992
when the Reynella, Hackham and Morphett Vale fire stations merged. The
station is part of the Hackham
community, sports and social club and consequently we
have a common area where some facilities are shared.
The station is built to accommodate 4 appliances and is also the Mawson Group base and the home to the Mawson Operations Support brigade, it is often used to manage large incidents within the Mawson Group.

Our station has a large meeting room, radio room, brigade office, group office, storeroom, B.A. recommissioning room, kitchen and workshop.
The B.A. room under construction
The B.A. room was an addition to the station and has been built by brigade members, it is used for re-commissioning B.A. sets and filling cylinders. The Morphett Vale brigade stores B.A. cylinders for all brigades in the Mawson group, they are filled two at a time from the Bauer compressor.
B.A. re-commissioning room
All of our personal protective equipment is located on a specially designed hook/helmet holder, these were manufactured and installed by members of the brigade.
Turnout gear hooks
The meeting room is used to hold meetings and training sessions. During large incidents it is used as an operations centre for an incident management team. For this purpose it has a computer, a GRN radio, multiple white boards and tables, data projector, fax machine and access points for many telephones.
Honour Board in the Meeting room
Trained radio operators handle communications for incidents in the radio room. As Morphett Vale fire station is the Mawson group control centre our radio room has three G.R.N radios, a trunking scanner, off air paging decoder, weather station, computers and maps.

The kitchen has large amounts of cupboard space and facilities to prepare many meals. The brigade also has access to the kitchen in the Hackham Sports and Social club for use during large incidents where catering is required.
